Doodling is for learners
In between book and other illustration assignments, children’s book illustrators can now help lead business meetings.
They can do white board chalk talks. The self-proclaimed leader of the Doodle Revolution, Sunni Brown of Austin, Texas is so making doodling OK in the serious workaday world. Seventy five percent of our brain’s processing activity is working on visual information — so we’re all visual learners fundamentally, she says in this presentation in a workshop by Nancy Duarte of Duarte Design. Nancy also interviewed Sunni about her popular book on creativity and problem solving for business, Gamestorming on her blog Duarte.com. You can read the post here.
WordPress for Artists workshop
Get on our guest list for Erik Kuntz’s upcoming Ustream.tv (free) workshop WordPress for Artists.
Erik, an illustrator-writer, designer, web developer and owner of Square Bear Studios will be walking us through NextGen Gallery, a free WordPress plug-in that makes it easy to install thumbnail picture galleries on our WordPress.org blogs.
He’ll also show a way to put up a gallery in a WordPress.com blog. It’s a great solution for illustrators looking to publish online portfolios of their work.
Erik is a great presenter and teacher of technology subjects. You’re invited, so sign in here to get details on the broadcast session set for this coming Thursday evening, March 31.
